If you have just started playing the Pixel Gun 3D game, then you might have noticed the capture mode. Previously it was an element within the game which was later developed into one of the major mode having two sub-modes: Flag capture and Point capture. Yes these are two different modes and they are distinctly different but various players don’t recognize it. Here we would talk about flag capture mode which is one of the most entertaining game modes in the Pixel Gun 3D. Let us have a look.
If you play the Team Fight, you would be aware of the flag capture mode. The flag capture consists of two teams that clash on the battlefield. However the team players have to capture the flag of the opposing team rather than killing each other like you do in the team fight. The captured flag must then be relocated to the flag base and then you will gain the score points for the team. Simultaneously you must protect the base and the flag as well.
The game mechanics are important and you must understand it when playing the flag capture mode since it is related to the flag itself. This will help in determining what exactly can you and cannot do in this mode. Each of the actions have their own consequences.
Initially if you capture the flag and try relocating it to the base you are not completely safe or bulletproof. The flag carrier might actually become the primary target as the enemy will try everything to stop the flag being moved to the base.
Secondly when the team player or you get killed carrying the flag, it gets dropped at the position you or the team player died. The flag would remain there until other members from your team or enemies take the flag back. However you get killed by map not by enemies when carrying the flag. The flag gets sent back to the base of the enemy and you will have to start all over again.
Once you are in the field and find that you can’t capture flag of the enemy during the game, then it’s not any bug. This is because your own flag is in the possession of the enemy. You must take that flag back, and put it rightfully into the flag base so that you can focus on capturing the flag of the enemy.
It doesn’t matter how efficient you are in capturing flags but if do not succeed in bringing it to your flag base then you won’t be able to score anything. This is because scoring points are only counted if the flag is firmly placed in the base of the carrier.
Here it is worth noting that flag capturing mechanic doesn’t count the kills but instead it counts the scoring points. Once time is over, the team with the highest points tally wins the game. This is why you must consider maintaining solid strategy for capturing the flag of the enemy effectively.
